Jerusalem, Israel: Wailing Wall/Dome Of The Rock

This is intended as an entry to the "Best of 2013" contest sponsored by %PremiumMembers, describing what our favorite memory of the past year was. So I disappeared for a bit during the summer... this is just one of the many places where I went. Jerusalem, Israel is probably the only place on Earth where three of the world's most influential religions converge. This particular shot is a perfect example: the Wailing Wall is obviously significant for Jews, the Dome of the Rock significant for Muslims (as it is believed that the prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven from that point), and the Christian quarter of Jerusalem is also visible in the foreground. Doesn't get any more interesting than that.
